Montaņita Verde Children's Home - Manta, Ecuador

The main purpose of the project with Fundacion por Amor (Foundation for Love) is to
provide for primary needs of orphaned children from the Manta area. These children
come from high-risk situations, destined to work the street for survival, with little
hope of breaking the cycle. Ecuador's government does not have adequate infrastructure,
resources or systems to identify or care for many cases of desperate youth. It seems
like a very hopeless situation. We seek to bring hope to these children's lives by
giving them opportunities to grow, learn and live. You can help us be beacon of light
and life to these children by helping to provide a great home location and positive
child-development environment.
Current Needs:
- Construction Funding - unfinished works include house no. 2, volunteer housing, basket-ball court, fencing, and grounds
- On-going child sponsorship
- Farm needs and brick bread-baking oven (contact us for specific info on food subsidizing and farming needs)
