Values & Motivation

We believe in integrity.

Following our Christ-centered moral and ethical convictions we aim to do the right things for the right reasons – whether or not anyone will know.

Believing that God cares more about who we are than what we do, we strive to live our values with transparency and consistency. We honor the trust placed in us by the families we serve, supporters, investors, program partners, service providers and staff, endeavoring to manage all our resources transparently.

We believe in relationships.

They are the close connections between people, formed by emotional bonds and interactions. These bonds often grow from, and are strengthened by, shared experiences.

They are transformative, challenging, messy, intimate, take incredible work, but can be life giving.

As Christ first loved us so we love one another. God’s love fuels us, and we unabashedly love one another through relationship.

We believe in community

By following in Jesus’ footsteps, we look to support those who need it most and seek to transform their lives. Whether they are poor, powerless, at risk, or vulnerable—we are called to help. By working together to challenge unjust attitudes and systems we can begin to properly provide for the well-being of those in need and bestow dignity and respect on men and women around the globe.

We cannot change the world alone. We rely on one another to know, understand, and love each other as we accept the great responsibility of joint participation, shared goals and mutual accountability.

While maintaining a firm belief in the unity of the Body of Christ, we partner freely with the poor, donors, other organizations and churches to make a collaborative effort for true life change.

We believe in empowering those we serve and dedicate ourselves to seeing their transformation.

We are committed to loving and serving those who are poor and marginalized in the developing world, striving to enable lasting improvement in their lives, families and communities.

By taking the time to evaluate the needs of each community and individual, we’re better able to help them achieve a brighter future. The best way to move forward is by learning together. By bridging the gap between the poor and the affluent, we can identify the issues at hand and work to empower the futures of those we serve.

Our Motivation

We believe in life change and seek to break generational cycles of poverty, abuse and neglect. Because we believe that true and lasting life change happens in relationship with Jesus Christ, we are committed to providing “pathways of hope,” both physical and spiritual, for those living in extreme situations.
