If you had to choose one word to define Thanksgiving, what would it be? For me, it’s the word “gratitude”. We give thanks on Thanksgiving out of grateful hearts.
Take a moment and put aside the distractions in your life. What brings you joy, peace, hope or fulfillment? What are you thankful for? I’d love to know!
At ER, we openly share our gratitude. We’re incredibly thankful for…
- Supporters (like you)
- Volunteers and interns
- Friends, partners and co-workers who challenge and encourage us
- Impoverished people who teach us so much
- Faith, which sustains us on mountain tops and in dark valleys
The last days of 2019 will be among the most important in ER’s history. We’ll share the Christmas story with thousands of families through Outreach Teams in Ecuador, Philippines and South Africa.
Help Others Have a Happy Thanksgiving
We’re also embarking on our boldest plan ever — launching 3 Dream Centers for kids, new Livelihood Training Programs for adults and new Leadership Development initiatives in the next 24 months. We’re seeking profound, life-changing impact!
We need your help to accomplish this. This Tuesday, Dec. 3, is Giving Tuesday, a day set aside to support your favorite charitable causes. GivingTuesday.org defines its mission like this: “Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.”
Would you choose Extreme Response as your charity and make a donation to our Pathways To Hope Matching Funds Campaign?
The timing is perfect. Generous donors have provided $175,000 in matching funds, so your gift can be matched dollar-for-dollar. To donate, click HERE and designate “Giving Tuesday Matching Funds”.
Thank you for caring about others and your ongoing support for ER!
Jerry Carnill, President and CEO
P.S. Dawn and I are on our way to South Africa where we’ll team up with staff, volunteers and partners to provide Christmas Celebrations for hundreds of kids. Follow ER on Facebook and Instagram for updates!
