How We Serve
TOGETHER, WE ARE BUILDING PATHWAYS OF HOPE
ER focuses on three core areas: Education Reinforcement, Life Skills Training and Leadership Development. Scholarships help fund this work and provide a way for donors to personally connect with the vulnerable people we are helping.

EDUCATION REINFORCEMENT
EDUCATION IS CRUCIAL IN HELPING CHILDREN AND FAMILIES ESCAPE GENERATIONAL POVERTY.
Learning helps children build self-esteem and opens doors to employment, sustainable families and community leadership. While many countries have significantly increased access to education over the years, being in school isn’t the same as learning. Worldwide, 250 million children don’t make it past four years in school or have not learned basic math, reading or writing skills by grade 4. For a variety of reasons – language barriers, poverty, malnutrition, broken families, cultural obstacles, child labor, etc. – many of these children lack the tools to succeed in school and the opportunity to forge a path to a brighter future. Through our Dream Center education reinforcement programs, we provide tutoring, mentoring, meals, school supplies, uniforms, basic life skills and access to extra-curricular activities. We demonstrate the love of Christ and share opportunity for lasting life change and hope.

LIFE SKILLS & LIVELIHOOD TRAINING
LIFE SKILLS ENCOMPASS A RANGE OF SELF-CARE ACTIVITIES THAT SPAN HOME, SCHOOL, WORK AND COMMUNITY SETTINGS.
Possessing these skills enables individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of their daily lives. Successful programs target children, parents and entire family units. As much as one-third of the working-age population in developing countries lacks the basic skills required to effectively manage themselves and their households and to generate adequate income. Life skills and livelihood training paves the way to a healthier and safer lifestyle, more effective learning, increased income generation and an improved standard of living. Through our Life Skills programs, we work with those living in extreme situations to provide access to personal and livelihood skills training. Personal life skills training includes nutrition, hygiene, health, marriage, parenting and basic communication. Livelihood skills training includes financial literacy, entrepreneurial skills and basic management skills, such as teamwork, problem solving, and project management. Our programs are rooted in Bible study, discipleship, long-term relationship and community.rms, books and school supplies. In response, we accept scholarship funds from donors who want to invest in the future of these children and help them stay in school.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
OUR GOAL IS TO “POSITION LEADERS AND ORGANIZATIONS FOR GREATER GLOBAL IMPACT.”
Extreme Response believes that in providing leadership development to strategically placed leaders around the world, we are building sustainability into organizations that are working to change the lives of people living in extreme situations.
