Theresa is a remarkable woman who lives in the deep south of South Africa. Originally from Zimbabwe, Theresa works as a nanny in Fish Hoek. As a single mom with two sets of twins ages 13 and 6, Theresa has spent many days stressing over how to support them. In 2018, her oldest twins, Jayla and Jyelle (privacy names) began Grade 1. The girls struggled with English and Theresa worried greatly about their schooling. When Theresa connected them with the Fish Hoek Dream Center, it was an answer to prayer.

Once enrolled, the girls received countless hours of academic help, spiritual development, and drama, photography and dance instruction. They have formed beautiful friendships and possess the tools to dream beyond their humble circumstances. They are preparing to move to high school in January. Theresa joyously shares: “The Dream Center is like a second family to us. They help cover the gaps that would have been left open when I’m at work.”

Theresa sees the ripples of the impact daily devotions have on her girls. “They are helpful, good, and kind; uncommon traits for most teens. I love knowing they are in an environment that speaks truth and builds their character, fosters their education, and showers them in love.”

Theresa also marvels that she never worries about Jayla and Jyelle lacking school supplies because of the generosity of Extreme Response supporters. Theresa’s twin boys will start Grade 1 and will join the Dream Center family in January. She can hardly contain her excitement for their futures: “My family would look very different if we didn’t have the Dream Center. I am so thankful I don’t have to wonder what life would be like.”
