Education Reinforcement

Education is crucial in helping children and families escape generational poverty.

Learning helps children build self-esteem and opens doors to employment, sustainable families and community leadership. While many countries have significantly increased access to education over the years, being in school isn’t the same as learning. Worldwide, 250 million children don’t make it past four years in school or have not learned basic math, reading or writing skills by grade 4. For a variety of reasons – language barriers, poverty, malnutrition, broken families, cultural obstacles, child labor, etc. – many of these children lack the tools to succeed in school and the opportunity to forge a path to a brighter future.

Through our Dream Center education reinforcement programs, we provide tutoring, mentoring, meals, school supplies, uniforms, basic life skills and access to extra-curricular activities. We demonstrate the love of Christ and share opportunity for lasting life change and hope.

ER Dream Centers enable individuals, families, schools, businesses, and groups to partner with us through volunteering and providing scholarships for children. Currently, we have Dream Centers operating in Fish Hoek and Limpopo, South Africa, and Quito, Ecuador. Two more are planned for Metro Manila. Each Dream Center team will customize programming to meet local needs.

The Manila Children’s Home opened on January 13, 2014, with a mission of caring for at-risk children, particularly 6- to 18-year-old boys who have been neglected or abandoned to live on the streets.
