Lena Overcomes Strife, Finds a Path for Life

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.” – Prov. 22:6

When nine-year-old Lena (privacy name) stepped into the Quito Dream Center three years ago, her world was shrouded in sadness. The move from Latacunga to Quito, along with her parents’ separation, weighed heavily on her young heart. Despite being a bright child, Lena’s sorrow dimmed her inner light.

Lena’s life was revived thanks to ER supporters.

The Dream Center became her sanctuary, a place where she could pour out her pain. Through it all, Lena’s faith remained unshaken. She believed in the promise of a miracle for her family.

Lena’s mother, burdened by their struggles, found solace in the center’s women’s workshops.

The word of God became her guiding light, leading her to reconcile with her husband. Divine love mended their fractured marriage and filled their home with hope once more.

The transformation in her parents breathed new life into Lena.

Today, she is a beacon of God’s love, excelling in her studies with a newfound enthusiasm and contagious joy. During visits to her grandparents, she passionately shares Bible stories and verses, leaving everyone in awe of her wisdom.

“Do you teach her?” they ask her mother. With pride, she replies,

“At the Dream Center, they teach her the Word of God.”

We are thankful that Lena’s family has enjoyed a tremendous restoration! As a friend or supporter of ER, we thank you for investing in families like these that are working hard to break the chains o spiritual or physical poverty.
